NEVER STOP SHOOTING

This past weekend i finally made it out to the poppy super bloom in Lake Elsinore CA. If you haven't heard, people have been flocking to this spot for the last month to get a glimpse of the flower phenomenon, unfortunately this influx of visitors has resulted in a closure of the Lake street exit off of the 15 freeway, and the city is now forcing any visitors to board a shuttle bus for $10 per person in order to enjoy this area. I wasn't interested in getting shuttled to these flowers where i would then have to fight the crowds to get the shots i wanted. so instead i got on the 15 freeway and headed north to Indian truck trail, i exited and turned rt, heading south for a few miles i found a spot that was perfect and not too crowded. Here are some shots a got that day.

I recently attended my first Bridal Expo (Kiss The Bride) in Temecula CA (pechanga resort). Besides meeting over 60 Beautiful brides, i also raffled off 5 free engagement sessions. The images I'm about to share with you are from the first of the five engagements. I love meeting new people, Angie and Joseph are a beautiful young couple, and it was a blast shooting with them. I always like to start the session off by getting to know my couple, i asked them how they met and how long they have been engaged. Next i go over a basic posing framework, nothing too difficult, just the basics, this helps them build confidence and speeds up the shoot.

Hi everyone, Im excited to announce my new sponsorship with Fomito. Fomito is a Photography and video manufacturer and distributer in China. They recently reached out to me about collaborating with them to review products, and in this blog i am going to review the first item that i received the KO quick release strap buckle. When i unboxed this item i immediately noticed the build quality. It is very light and appears really durable. Im a wedding Photographer and have always used a shoulder strap for my camera. I have only used the Fomito clip for a short time, however so far I'm liking it over my shoulder strap. First it takes the weight off of my neck and shoulders and distributes it across my waist and hips. Second it gives me more freedom of movement compared to my shoulder strap. The release is very quick and easy to use, just one little button on the bottom of the clip and your camera is free. And once locked in, it is very secure. Its still to early to tell if i will permanently switch, but for now it is my favorite way to secure my camera during a shoot. Question of the day, What are you guys using to secure your cameras? Please let me know. If you want to see my video review of this product, just click this link https://youtu.be/bKpMGNj0tkQ to watch it on my youtube channel. If you want to purchase this item its only $23.99 on the Fomito website http://bit.ly/2SFhxxh until next time, keep shooting, always pursue your passion, and keep crushing it.

October has been a busy month for Family Portraits, I recently had the pleasure of photographing my Brother Jason and his family in Julian,CA. When we spoke about the location Pattie (my sister in law) said she wanted a location that had plenty of trees and looked like fall. I mentioned Big Bear, however this was a little too far too travel, Then i mentioned Julian. After showing her a few pics of the area she was sold. We set out for Kayamaka Lake, which is right outside of julian.

I purchased this flash to replace my canon 430EX, which didn't have wireless capability and was not compatible with the Godox ecosystem. I have to say so far i am loving this flash, I have used it on two weddings so far. This flash goes from 1/1 all the way down to 1/128th power, it has built in 2.4G wireless transmission, which my canon did not have. It does have High Speed Sync, however it must be used off camera to work, when the flash is on camera its max shutter speed is 1/200 of a second. The flash is very easy to use, all the controls are self explanatory, it does take 4 AA batteries. It has zoom functionality from 24-200mm.It also has a focus assist beam, I'm not sure how good it is, i use my X-1 trigger focus assist. The flash works with most of the Godox triggers for off camera flash, i use the X-1 it it works seamlessly. Another great feature is the fact that the TT-600 can control the output on my Godox AD200, you just have to put it in master mode, which is just M on the flash control panel. So far i am very impressed with this flash, i use it mainly during receptions as a rim or back light. Please leave a comment if you have a question about the flash or i would love to hear your experience if you own one. I also did a short you tube video on how the flash integrates with other Godox products, here is the link if you want to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO0n0K0uWH4&t=1s
